John Gearhart, M.D., professor of pediatrics and urology, has been awarded the Chaim Medical Resource Token of Appreciation for the care of children with complex birth defects, in the United States and abroad. The award was presented during a ceremony in October 2021. Chaim Medical Resource is a nonprofit organization that provides support to patients, including children with major birth defects, and families needing guidance to navigate health challenges. Gearhart has cared for patients in the Chaim Medical Resource program.
