Primary care sports medicine physician Michael Swartzon, M.D., presented the latest fibrocartilage treatments. His presentation focused on using orthobiotics to treat and manage fibrocartilage injuries. Orthobiotics are biologically derived therapies, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), that promote and enhance the body's natural healing process. These therapies offer an alternative to surgical interventions for musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative conditions.

Additionally, orthopedic surgeon Derek Papp, M.D., moderated a session during the Should and Elbow Academy of the conference and explored whether ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) reconstruction is outdated in the era of orthobiologics.

RMOS is a premier conference focused on regenerative orthopedic surgery for surgeons and sports medicine providers. It aims to integrate regenerative medicine in orthopedic care and transform treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. The conference emphasizes research, education, collaboration and advocacy.
