About the Endocrinology Fellowship Program | Cedars-Sinai Academic Medicine
Cedars-Sinai offers a two-year fellowship in endocrinology to provide training for different career paths in endocrinology, including clinical practice, clinical education and research. Fellows spend six months in each of the two years as the clinical fellow on the inpatient Endocrinology Consult Service. The remaining time of each year is spent attending outpatient clinics and participating in research projects.
Core rotations take place at Cedars-Sinai. These include consultations on patients undergoing endocrine surgery, neurosurgery, radiation therapy, pituitary testing and radioiodine for thyroid cancer and hyperthyroidism. Special programs in cardiac and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, interventional cardiology and gastroenterology, oncology, transplant surgery, transgender medicine and cardiac electrophysiology bring patients with associated endocrine disorders. Endocrine clinics are based at Cedars-Sinai and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center.
