Miami Cancer Institute to Host Fifth Global Summit on Immunotherapies for Hematologic Malignancies

 

Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida, announced it will host the Fifth Annual Global Summit on Immunotherapies for Hematologic Malignancies, to be held March 8-9, 2024, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Brickell, Miami, Fla. Presenters at the summit will share updates on recent advances in the treatment of leukemia and myeloma, targeted therapies for acute myeloid leukemia, CAR-T cell therapies, as well as new approaches to treating lymphomas. In addition, there will be special presentations on unmet needs in Latin America and the role of haploidentical transplants.

“Our high-profile speakers at the 2024 summit represent a wide variety of leading-edge expertise in immunotherapies and hematologic malignancies. Those attending the two-day summit will learn about the latest research and treatment options in the field,” said Guenther Koehne M.D., Ph.D., summit founder, deputy director of Miami Cancer Institute and chief of blood and marrow transplant and hematologic oncology. “I am very pleased to bring world-class experts to our region, benefitting healthcare and specifically oncology professionals in our region and beyond.”

This educational summit is intended for hematologists, oncologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, palliative care staff, oncology and hematology nurses, laboratory personnel, pharmacists, and other allied health care team members interested in the treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies. Baptist Health South Florida is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Baptist Health has been re-surveyed by the ACCME and awarded Commendation for 6 years as a provider of CME for physicians.
