Kriti Ahuja, M.D., Joins Baptist Health Wertheim Cancer Institute as a Breast Medical Oncologist

Baptist Health Wertheim Cancer Institute is pleased to welcome Kriti Ahuja, M.D., a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer. Her clinical interests focus on the comprehensive treatment of patients with breast malignancies, while her research has explored breast cancer, cancer survivorship, second primary malignancies and novel cancer therapies.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Ahuja to our multidisciplinary team of cancer specialists dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality care,” said Leonard Kalman, M.D., acting system chief executive, Baptist Health Cancer Care, and acting executive medical director, Baptist Health Wertheim Cancer Institute.

Dr. Ahuja earned her medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. She completed an internal medicine residency at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago before pursuing a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center through the University at Buffalo in New York.

Throughout her training, Dr. Ahuja has contributed extensively to oncology research, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications and presenting her work at national and international scientific meetings, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting, the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting. She is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Ahuja believes in providing compassionate, patient-centered care that aligns with each individual's goals, values and preferences. “I believe in providing patient-centered care that aligns with each patient’s goals,” she said.

Dr. Ahuja is fluent in English and Hindi. She will see patients at Baptist Health Wertheim Cancer Institute, 8900 North Kendall Drive, Miami.
